Bald Eagle
The Spit; Homer, Alaska

During winter, every morning at 7 PM, Jean Keene, known world-wide as The Eagle Lady, would feed 200 to 300 Bald Eagles congregating around her tiny yard on the Homer Spit. The two eagles depicted in this limited edition photograph, along with several hundred of their compatriots, arrived a good half hour before feeding time.

The Eagle Lady crossed over January 13, 2009. She is missed by everyone, especially her Eagles. This image is dedicated to her.
